We've been getting reports that people's account has.. gone back in the past! Due to that issue, everybody may have to do all the lost hard work again but Nexon may give us a 2x exp to help us get back up.

Did anyone else lose any items? Some have lost millions in their transactions!

Hey all, it's time for another event! This time, we're making Yo mamashroom jokes!

The person who makes up the funniest "yo mamashroom" joke, wins a $10 Nexon card (or $10 paypal) and the joke will be displayed on the front page!

If you are up for the challenge, go for it. Multiple entries are allowed but not to the point where we consider it abuse (as in, you enter more than 2 entries per day)

Creativity is a must for this challenge and try to be original!

Here are the rules:

1. All entries must be submitted by July 11, 2010
2. All entries must be MapleStory related using "Yo Mamashroom"
3. No profane or obscene language is allowed
4. You must be a member of the forums to participate (register for free!)
5. You may not enter multiple times on different accounts
6. You are allowed multiple entries on one account, feel free to post up to two posts per day

It's time for another MapleTip Event and we're now looking for fan fictions! Test your skills in writing by creating a fan fiction based on MapleStory and you'll have a chance at winning a $10 Nexon gift card. The contest winners will be determined by vote so you better make it look good to the masses out there!

Here are the rules:

• You must be registered on the forums and submit your entries to the fan fiction forum. You must prepend "[Submission]" to your topic title to qualify
• You must be at least the age of 13
• You may only submit once
• Your submission must be based on MapleStory

Feel free to have your buddies from MapleStory vote on it but be warned, you can only vote once!

There will be two winners and your fan fictions will be featured on the Wiki.

We're ready to throw some more events for everyone out there. After many months of trying to gain the "mapletip" handler for twitter, we have finally gotten it! Now, we will spread the love with you.

For this contest, all you have to do is become a follower of MapleTip. Then, on June 6, 2010, I will randomly choose somebody for the sweet prize of a $10 Nexon gift card.

A way to keep those hackers away from your account?

Anyone that has ever gotten their account hacked knows that the PIN system that's currently in place is kind of useless especially when people can just crack the PIN. There are only 4 characters anyway..

However, if anyone has used Paypal or logged into battle.net using their new "authenticator" system, you should know that it's much safer to log in than before. Here's how it works:

1. You buy an authenticator or install the application onto your phone
2. Register the serial number to your account
3. When you log in, you must enter the code given to you on the phone or the authenticator.

This code changes every minute which provides an added layer of security. This is extremely useful for those that are worried about people hacking their accounts and then losing everything they've ever worked for.

Hopefully, we can get Nexon to implement this and stop a lot of hacking that's been going on.

Summoning Chaos

It's me, iamflip! Apparently, there has been reports on several servers of MWLBers mass summoning on towns. Several towns were attacked on Bellocan, Broa, Bera, and other populated servers, and it started sometime around Sunday night.

Nexon has made no official notice that such an event is going on... so what could this mean? And worse off... how long is this going to last?

We're looking for some people to add to our staff. Our current MapleWiki administrator (who has done a wonderful job) is quite busy with studies and therefore, we'd like to look for someone to help out in the MapleWiki. We're looking for people that will be able to dedicate time and energy to help beautify the wiki and make it a great place for people to come and look for information. If you're one of them, feel free to apply via the comment section here.

We'd prefer that you are a longstanding member of the MapleWiki and that you have experience in MediaWiki, but if you do not, we'll gladly train you.

Hey people of the internet. It's me, iamflip!

So, I was checking Twitter when I stumbled upon an interesting tweet from @Maplestory: "Woo...many Maplers definitely have a busy day today so let's bring some good news. Evan is coming soon. bit.ly/aYTLGj bit.ly/aVwm2H" The links leads to two announcements concerning about the release of the dragon-taming mage class, Evan. There's an official teaser site and an announcement on the Nexon forums.

Wow... I certainly was not expect this class to come this early... but I have tried it out on KMS, and it's one really awesome class to play. What are your thoughts on this?

GM hacked?

Long time, no see everyone. It's me, iamflip.

As well all know, NexonAM has been trying to revamp security against account hacking and malicious acts. Well... it's not going well as according to reports, someone who claims to be "migraine" has hacked a GM account and is rampaging in Scania as we speak. Rumors are flying that people are being banned left and right by him/her/it. He's even showing off GM gear!

This won't bode well with NexonAM upon this news. What do you think about this, and what do you think will happen now? Thoughts?
